APC threatens to expel member seeking third term for president buhari (The All Progressives Congress) has distanced itself from the suit seeking an amendment of the Constitution to allow President Muhammadu Buhari run for a third term in office.

According to newsmen, this was made known in a statement issued yesterday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, describing those pursuing the third term agenda as “busybodies”, “charlatans”, “agent provocateurs”, and anti-democratic forces.

Recall earlier last week a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi state, Charles Enya filed the suit (FHC/AI/CS/90/19) before a Federal High Court in Abakiliki.

He alleged that the two-term tenure limit for presidents and governors was “discriminatory” when compared with the provision made for lawmakers in Nigeria.

The party National Publicity Secretary, Issa-Onilu said the APC would expel any member of the party, seeking an amendment of the constitution to allow President Buhari run for a third term in office.
