FG orders closure of universities nationwide over Coronavirus outbreak which has hit the country with over 13 cases confirmed in lagos and Ogun states respectively
According to the ministry, the move is to stop the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
Recall that four new cases of coronavirus was confirmed in Lagos State today and with the development, Nigeria now has twelve confirmed cases of the disease.
The Health Commissioner confirmed the new case at a news briefing on Thursday.
The federal government had on Wednesday announced five new cases of coronavirus disease in the country, in addition to the existing three cases.
The Lagos state government has also banned all religious congregational service involving over 50 worshippers, as well as shut down public and private schools in the state
Coupled with the ongoing strike by the academic union of universities, ASUU, shutting down the tertiary institutions seems a sort of continued process
The virus has now reached an all time high all over the world and is now on the rise in nigeria with a total of 13 cases confirmed as of today
