Edo Elections INEC announces results

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the Edo election results for different Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Edo State, south-south Nigeria.

9jatalkative reported earlier that INEC announced the election results of the 3 LGAs which shows that Governor Godwin Obaseki, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate now leads Osagie Ize-Iyamu, his rival in the Edo governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party.

According to the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) so far, the PDP candidate leads with over 13,000 votes.

As of 12:45 am on Sunday, INEC announced the results in three local government areas.

Governor Obaseki polled about 7,870 votes In Igueben, while Ize-Iyamu polled 5,199 votes.

The PDP candidate secured about 10,964 votes in Esan central while his rival gained 6,719 votes, and in Esan north east, Obaseki polled 13,579 votes, dropping Ize-Iyamu with 6,559 votes.

The total votes of the candidates casted in the three local government areas shows that PDP has 32,143 while the APC has 18,477 votes, leaving a drop zone of 13,666 votes.

The Igueben LGA:

APC got a total number of 5,199 votes while PDP got the total number of 7870.

Oredo LGA:

APC attained the total number of 18,365 while PDP attained the total number of 43,498 votes.

Esan North East LGA:

APC attained the total number of 6,556 votes while PDP attained the total number of 13,579 votes.

Esan West LGA:

APC attained the total number of 7,189 votes while PDP attained the total of 17,434 votes

Etsako West LGA:

APC attained the total number of 26,140 while PDP attained the total number 17,959 votes

Esan Central LGA:

APC attained the total number of 6,719 while PDP attained the total number of 10,694 votes.

Ikpoba Okha LGA:

APC attained the total number of 18,218 while PDP attained 41,030 votes

Egor LGA:

APC attained the total number of 10,202 while PDP attained the total number of 27,621 votes.

Uhunmwonde LGA:

APC attained the total number of 5,972 while PDP attained the total number 10,022 votes.

Owan East LGA:

APC attained the total number of 19,295 while PDP attained the total number of 14,762 votes.

Owan West LGA:

APC attained the total number of 11,193 while PDP attained the total number 11,485 votes.

Ovia North East LGA:

APC attained the total number of 9,907 while PDP attained 16,987 votes.

Esan South East LGA:

APC attained the total number of 9,237 while PDP attained the total number 10,563 votes.

Akoko Edo LGA:

APC attained the total number of 22,963 while PDP attained the total number of 20,101 votes.

Etsako East LGA:

APC attained the total number of 17,011 while PDP attained the total number of 10,668 votes.

Etsako Central LGA:

APC attained the total number of 8,358 while PDP attained the total number 7,478 votes.

Orhionmwho LGA:

APC attained the total number of 10,458 while PDP attained the total number 13,445 votes

Ovia South West LGA:

APC attained the total number of 10,636 while PDP attained the total number 12,659 votes.
