9jatalkative reports that eight new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria by the Nigerian center for disease control, NCDC
This report by the NCDC counts that there are now a total of 97 cases in total in the country as at 10:40pm last night
There were a total of 16 cases confirmed on the 28th of march, 2020 by the Nigerian center for disease control, NCDC
The count goes as follows:
- Abuja – 2 cases
- Lagos – 7 Cases
- Kaduna – 1 case
- Osun – 1 case
- Benue – 1 case
- Oyo – 4 cases
The case in kaduna is the case of the governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai who tested positive to the dreaded virus last night
El-Rufai who tested positive is the second Governor to contact the COVID-19 virus in Nigeria
The Nigerian center for disease control, NCDC also reveals that the new confirmed cases of the virus are from returning travellers
The organisation stated that the patients showed little or moderate symptoms of the dreaded COVID-19 virus
A Statement from the nigerian center for disease control, NCDC read thus:
“As at 10:40 pm 28th March, there are
97 confirmed cases
1 death
