FG declares two day public holiday. FG has declared Thursday 30 and Friday 31 July, 2020 public holidays to mark this year’s celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.

This update was made known in a statement made by the Minister of interior, Rauf Aregbesola on behalf of the federal government.

In the statement he congratulated the Muslims and all Nigerians on the occasion as he encouraged them to continue practicing the good spirit of living in love, peace, sacrifice and kindness

This is examplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him)

He also urged us all to continue in prayers and join hands with the government in order to curb the spread of Covid-19 by following the guidelines laid out by the government, such as observing social distancing and personal hygiene.

He emphasized the need for all Nigerians to co-operate and take responsibility to make this year’s celebration a great one despite the situation of the country.
