Now the minister of health of Nigeria, Osagie Ehanire has now confirmed that the nigerian FG didn’t invite Chinese doctors to the country
He made this revelation in an interview with nigerian news network, channels TV last night around 10pm Nigerian time
Speaking on the interview with channels TV, he denied claims swirling around the country that the nigerian Government invited the Chinese doctors
The health minister revealing that the FG didn’t invite Chinese doctors during the interview said the doctors were invited by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC)
The China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) is a Chinese construction corporation which is located in Nigeria and handles several civil engineering projects in the country
The health minister of Nigeria while speaking with channels TV said:
“In thehe first place we didn’t bring the doctors in, the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) in its wisdom in its entirety of social responsibility decided to bring in Chinese doctors to come and assist and also advice us”
“We did not give out any official invitation to china, but we are not sad that they are here because we can learn from their experience and how they handled the virus in china”
“These people have been through it, and we want to start with video conferencing with them even now that they are in isolation so that we can learn from their experiences as soon as possible”
There have now been over 300 confirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria with over 70 patients recovered as reported by the Nigerian Centre for disease control, NCDC
