FG releases new date for school resumption
FG releases new date for school resumption after meeting today which led to a unanimous decision to resume school in August 2020
The Federal and state government met today being Monday 27 July to discuss the modalities for the resumption of schools.
The agenda for the meeting presided by the Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu read:
Invitation to a webinar consultative meeting between the FME and Hon Commissioners of Education. The PS, Federal Ministry of Education,Arc Sonny Echono, cordially invites Honourable Commissioners of education of the 36 states of the federation and the FCT to a consultative meeting on the way forward towards reopening our schools.
“In particular, the agenda for a new schedule for WAEC, NECO, BECEC, the National Common entrance among other issues will be on the table.
In conclusion,exit classes are to resume school from the 4th of August after the sallah break while WAEC examinations will commence from the 17th of the same month.
Nothing has been said yet regarding the students in tertiary institution.
