Finally ASUU Agrees to Call Off Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has agreed to call of their 8 month long strike.

In a meeting in Abuja between the Federal Government led by Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, and the Academic Union; the decision was reached and the Federal government agreed to give the Union N70 Billion.

The agreement was that the Government would pay N40 Billion as the earned allowance and the other N30 million for the revitalization of the university system.

The agreement was that the payment would be made before the 4th of December.
