Okowa imposed a 48 hours curfew in Delta State after a peaceful protest was hijacked by hoodlums leading to destruction of properties
He thanked the youths particularly for complying with curfew imposed days ago
The statement partly reads:
Having analyzed the situation critically, I thank all Deltans, particularly our youth, for complying with the curfew that was imposed two days ago.
The current 48-hour curfew will expire by 6 pm later today.
However, from this evening, the curfew will be in effect between 6 pm and 8 am till further notice. From tomorrow, Sunday, October 25, everyone will be free to move around and go about their activities during the day
Furthermore, he urged all citizens and residents of Delta State to remain vigilant and peaceful at all times
