Kidnapped judges regain freedom in Zamfara state after a ransom amount of one million naira each was paid for them to regain their freedom
The two Zamfara State Judges who were taken away by Kidnappers have now been released after paying one million naira each according to multiple reports
The Judges with the names, Salihu Abdullahi and Shafi’u Jangeb were kidnapped on their way back to Zamfara from Maradi in Niger Republic
They were then asked to pay the very large sum N10m each, but the money was not available to be given to the kidnappers for their release
After some dialogue it was confirmed that the kidnappers and the family ended up with the whole sum of one million naira each
According to a brother to one of the released judges, Malam Hassan Samaru, he said:
“When the bandits realized that we could not meet their demand of N20m, they finally called us and told us to bring whatever we have.
“We paid two million for the two judges and they were released.”
