The NPower Program began on the 19th of July, 2020 with a lot of Nigerians applying for the NPower Program

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq said she and her team were working to ensure a successful transition for the Npower beneficiaries.

When giving the update the Minister wrote on Twitter:

“My team and I continue to interface with stakeholders to ensure a successful transition for the @npower_ng.

Since the portal opened and we have received 4.48 million applications from Nigerians all over the country

Now the the minister has given a new update on the payment of Nigerians in the NPower Program which is receiving a lot of applications in the country

The minister confirmed that payments will be made to the beneficiaries of the program as well as the stipends will be paid

Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq then went on to confirm that the reports of looting of Npower funds are not true as no one has access to Npower funds for beneficiaries

This comes a few days after some Nigerians questioned the program saying that there could be a leak in the NPower Program
