1. 499 new coronavirus cases reported in Nigeria

The Nigerian center for disease control (NCDC), announced earlier this morning, via their twitter handle that Nigeria recorded 499 new Coronavirus cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 30748.

2. VP Osibanjo denies receiving N4 Billion from Ibrahim Magu.

The vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo denies receiving the sum of 4 billion Naira from the embattled ex-chairman of EFFC Ibrahim Magu. This was disclosed in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity Mr. Laolu Akande.

3. Nigeria records 460 new coronavirus cases

The Nigerian center for disease control (NCDC), announced earlier this morning, via their twitter handle that Nigeria recorded 460 new Coronavirus cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 30249.

4. WAEC 2020 cancelled by FG

Few hours after WAEC 2020 examination guidelines was released, The Federal Government of Nigeria through its Education Minister, Adamu Adamu announced that in order to keep thre students safe, the schools under the control of the Federal Government won’t participate in the forthcoming WAEC examination.

5. WAEC releases guidelines for 2020 WASSCE

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) after announcing August 4th to September 5th as the duration of the Forthcoming 2020 WASSCE, released guidelines for the safe and smooth conduct of the examinations. Social distancing procedures where taken into consideration to protect students and supervisors.

6. Ondo Deputy Governor Sues State Assembly Over Impeachment Move

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State has filled a suit, through his lawyer at the federal High Court Abuja, against the state Assembly, the police and the Department of state Security. The deputy governor who called his impeachment move as witch hunt for his defecting to the people’s democratic party (PDP) filed for an order to quash the impeachment.
