Lekki Toll Gate: Concession Company rejects the allegations for dismantling CCTV Cameras
The Lekki Concession Company (LCC) has debunked claims, that it was involved in the removal of the CCTVs at the Lekki-Victoria Island tollgate, before the shooting of unarmed protesters.
Recall that shortly after the removal of the CCTVs at the Lekki toll gate, the shooting of unarmed EndSARS protesters started which led to a massacre on Tuesday, October 20.
The Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat shared a copy of the statement on social media and wrote ;
“This press release by the Lekki Concession Company should provide some feedback about a lot of stories we have seen on social media about the Lekki toll gate.
It is important to understand all the factors at play as we continue to investigate. Perimeter CCTV was not removed”
Right now hoodlums and thugs are not happy with how things went on that day been 20th of October 2020.
Maybe they new era of government coming next year should impose laws on unarmed Protestors with the aim of protecting their Human Rights and also to avoid War and Tensions arising in the country.
