Makinde Donates N100million for monarchs palace renovation, Nigerians react
The Governor of Oyo, Governor Makinde in reference to the Monarchs Palace which was Destroyed during the protest, Donates the sum of N100 million for its renovation.
According to reports The monarch’s palace was attacked by residents of the community after he was accused of doing nothing concerning a student identified as Jimoh Isaiq who was shot dead during the #EndSARS protest last Saturday, October 10
Governor Makinde During his visit to the Monarch announced a N100 million donation towards the renovation of the palace and N1 million to families of those killed during the protest.
He wrote on Twitter:
We were also at the Palace of Kabiyesi, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, the Soun of Ogbomoso. We pledged the sum of N100 Million to begin immediate repairs of the palace and replacement of destroyed properties.
This Sparked up reactions from people Saying the amount donated for the renovation could be of great help to the family of those who lost their life during the protest.
** Then the parents of the youths that lost that lives during the protests should at least get minimum of 100 million in compensation then. Except the king’s palace is worth more than human life.
