Senate president Ahmed Lawan calls for end of protest following the recent road blocks as a result of the ongoing end sars protests
Recall that for over a week now, the protests have been going on as a result of agitation against police brutality in the country
The senate president Ahmed Lawan said the protests has generated the desired results as the government has now began the police reform in Nigeria
He also added that government needs time to address a few of the demands made by the Nigerian youths all over the country
The Senate President said this on Sunday, October 18, after a closed-door meeting between himself, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and President Muhammadu Buhari, today at State House in Abuja.
He also went on to plead with the EndSARS protesters to give the government time to work on their other demands.
Senator Lawan added that the demonstrations which involves blocking of roads will have a serious negative economic impact on the country, Nigeria
