Nigerian Singer and Songwriter Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, took to his Twitter to lay a complaint of how songs with High numbers of streams generate low revenue for artistes.

The Banku Music CEO and emPawa Africa facilitator Mr Eazi narrated how a song which had 10 million streams was only able to generate $5000 which when converted is nearly 2 million in naira.

In his words he said:

“Looking at this 10million streams on this song on this platform amazing how that translates to less than $5000 in revenue! Magic Stuff!! Thus is the story of the hit song lol”

This spark up a whole lot of conversations under the tweet cause Fans and music executives always believe songs with massive numbers of streams generate a lot of revenue for the artistes, But the Nigerian Hit maker has cleared all reasonable doubts.
