Chinese doctors are not treating COVID-19 says the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) which is located in Nigeria 9jatalkative reports that the (CCECC) has stated that the Chinese medical team in Nigeria are not treating COVID-19 patients in the country Recall that the Chinese doctors arrived Nigeria earlier last month and multiple reports claimed that the Chinese doctors were in Nigeria to assist in fighting the ongoing coronavirus pandemic But just recently the federal government of Nigeria declared that the whereabouts of the Chinese doctors were unknown The Government of Nigeria also confirmed that the Chinese doctors were not invited guests of the country from the FG The CCECC confirmed that the Chinese doctors are not treating COVID-19 in Nigeria and their mission in the country is entirely different Although the company confirmed that the Chinese doctors can play an advisory role in assisting Nigeria in fighting coronavirus The full statement from the CCECC which confirmed that the Chinese doctors are not treating COVID-19 in Nigeria read; "After a 14-day quarantine and necessary tests, the medical team has been carrying out its assigned mission." “The medical personnel are in Nigeria at the instance of CCECC Nigeria and they have been at all times under the care and accommodation of CCECC “During their stay in Nigeria, they have complied with all known immigration and health protocols. “It is important to reiterate that the mandate of the team, as mutually agreed with all stakeholders, does not cover treatment of COVID-19 cases. "The team is therefore not treating any COVID-19 cases.
