She disclosed this on social media to clear her name on the Tory lanez incident. According to TMZ, it was reported that rapper Tory Lanez was arrested on Sunday morning, after police were called to a shooting incident outside a residence in the Hollywood Hills. An SUV fitting the description of Tory Lanez's vehicle was seen leaving the scene. After searching the rapper’s car, officers allegedly found a concealed weapon, and a bleeding Megan Thee Stallion who was rushed to a hospital to get medical treatment, after she reportedly cut her foot on broken glass inside Lanez’s SUV. Tory Lanez was arrested and charged with a felony for gun possession, while Megan Thee Stallion is recovering in the hospital. Now the Houston rapper has released a statement on social media revealing that she suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital by the police. "The narrative that is being reported about Sunday's morning events are inaccurate and I'd like to set the record straight," she wrote in a note shared on Instagram. "On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets." "I'm incredibly grateful to be alive and that I'm expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night," she continued. "I'm currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible." In the caption for the note, she added, "This whole experience was an eye opener and a blessing in disguise. I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy." Four shell casings were found by authorities near the home where the altercation took place. Lanez was released on Sunday on $35,000 bond. He is currently scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 13.
